Real Estate in Somers, NY

In early 2019, the NY Times ran an article about living in Somers, New York.

While the article does touch on Somers culture and school district, it also addresses specifics regarding real estate in the area.

A few of the interesting facts in the article include:

  • The town population is approximately 22,000;

  • The available real estate is predominantly residential which sits on the Croton Watershed;

  • Somers has 5,203 single-family homes and 90 multifamily homes

  • There are 2,600 condominiums all of which are located in Heritage Hills, and there are about 387 rentals in the town which include 235 affordable units

If you’re in the market to buy real estate in Somers, the above may or may not be of much use to you with the exception of the fact that the vast majority of real estate in Somers is made up of single family homes which leads to the conclusion that most people living in town are homeowners.
